Van Os for Attorney General
I got this note from a friend in Texas, and am forwarding here--

I recently found out that Van Os, the second best progressive speaker to Dennis I heard all election, after being defeated for State Supreme Court, is running for Attorney General *CLEVER!*.

His site's not updated yet but: http://www.vanosforsupremecourt.com/

Texas has a nine-of-nine Republican Supreme Court stranglehold. And one wonders why, when DeLay's charges get thrown back to Texas, he gets off with a wristslap.

Van Os's bid for the job was crucial. And I was oft quoted as saying, "If any man can stand up to eight Republican judges, it's Van Os." He's a big teddy bear but don't make him mad!

1. A seasoned judge that does nothing but stand up for the little guy against corporate interests.

2. Co-founder of the Texas Progressive Populist Caucus.

3. Lives like a totally normal person—you and me—not a corrupt politican. "Walks the walk."

4. You will fall in love if you hear him live.

I'm joining this campaign early and will post more information as available. Please join me.

1. Impressive. I'm embarassed to say I never heard of him.
But I'll start looking thanks to site you listed. Nice to see there are a few open minded folks down here in Texas. Need them in office!
Thx!

2. I attest that everything eridani says about David is true
David has taken the leadership initiative several times in the trying days after the November disaster. I am backing him as well and I am here in Texas.

3. We're on board, eri
David made his announcement at the Progressive Populist Caucus here in Houston in February! He's been sending out a commentary about once a month since (one can enroll at the website you listed for e-mail bulletins). A handful of us here are PPC members and supported David in his TSC bid.

He is lights out the strongest populist speaker I have ever heard.

4. PM Me - Do Not Support Van Os - Great Activist But,
Not Suited To Public Office.

He has a history of denigrating progressive activists that stand in his way!

6. Dude, that's annoying.
Everyone on this board knows you hate Van Os. Would you knock it off? It's getting old. And, quite honestly, I don't consider your beef -- which, as I recall, is because he wanted to use the PPC to knock off Molly Beth Malcolm -- to make him "not suited for public office." Actually, anybody who's clever enough to do that is probably QUITE suited for public office. It's called politics. And it's ugly.

7. After What Van Os Did To Me And Others I will Not Stop
You were not there Crispin - I was!

He is very hateful to those that do not agree with him and will stab you in the back at the slightest provocation.

Do not tell me what to think about what I experienced at the hands of this man!

8. Nobody's telling you what to think
We ARE asking you to stop posting your hateful opinion of this good Democrat.

How about doing that, please?
