Suddenly, KLIF and I are like Twinkies!!

Not because we're both full of creamy filling, mind you, but because morning ranter Jeff Ankarlo on KLIF 570AM hates the new taxes that Texans are now facing - including a higher state sales tax, higher cigarette taxes, and new taxes on soft drinks and bottled water.

This morning, Ankarlo sounded the trumpets - he wants to mail a truckful of yellow panties to every Republican in Austin who voted for the new tax bill. Yellow because they're chicken, and panties because they're, in Ah-nuld's words, "girlie-men."

Some of you may find the proposal a bit sexist, but Ankarlo and I finally agree on something. Just one caveat - I was one of those telling the right-wingers: "You'll be SOOOOOORRRYYYYYYYY!"

Ankarlo's taking donations for the "panty raid." I'm not contributing, but maybe DUers should send their own message to these Repubs who screwed us over. Any ideas?
