1. Thanks for that, PDittie...
I'll try to make the Tuesday and Wednesday lunch events - they're reasonably close to my Galleria office.

5. Take your pick of a handful of events on Thursday 3/10:
** Drinking Liberally at Buffalo Wild Wings and Weck (BW-3) in Rice Village, 7 pm. (Find your local chapter of DL in Austin, Denton, and other cities around the country at the link above.)

** Also at 7 pm, The Progressive Action Alliance is meeting at Leisure Learning Unlimited, 2990 Richmond, sixth floor, room 6. Topics include election reform and protests, Department of Peace, economic and social justice, and other progressive actions. Go early (6:30-7:00 pm) for an informal social gathering with other peace and justice activists.

** The Houston Peace Forum screens the film "Blue Eyed" beginning at 7:15 pm at First Unitarian Universalist Church, Room 302, 5200 Fannin at Southmore. "Blue Eyed," a taped workshop with well-known diversity trainer Jane Elliott, was a groundbreaking experiment in anti-racism training. For more information contact Pat Nichols, 713-681-6267.

** And don't forget about the MoveOn House Parties to Protect the Courts and Fight the Right. Here is a link to find a location near you.

6. Wednesday Legislative Lunch
sponsored by the West Houston Democrats is planned for EVERY Wednesday and is open to ALL.

Last Wednesday was the first meeting. I didn't make it, due to the seemingly daily monsoon Houston is having this year. The weather is great today, but the rains are suppose to be back tomorrow. ARGHHHH.

Anyway, will try to make it tomorrow, since I won't have the added excuse of being zonked from the Planned Parent Lobbying Day in Austin, like last week.

Mary
