AAR in Texas...more cities
I heard an interview with Danny Goldberg, AAR's new CEO. He mentioned an AAR station in Dallas and "three other Texas cities".

I'm in the Houston area. It would be the answer to a prayer. Anyone else hear anything?

1. Great. Maybe They Made It To Austin...Just In Time For Me To Leave :-(
I would seriously love to be able to listen to AAR without a computer. So I could, like, listen in the car and stuff.

And there is a lengthy interview with Al Franken in this week's Austin
Chronicle.

Not Shutting Up Anywhere
This Al Franken is your Al Franken
A Conversation With Al Franken will ensue at 3:30pm, Monday, March 14, room 18B of the Austin Convention Center. Four and a half hours earlier, The Al Franken Show will hit the air live on KOKE 1600AM from the State Theater (719 Congress).

The other three cities are Austin, San Antonio and Brownsville. With Corpus Christi that makes 5 Texas markets.

Hang in there bookman, there are some people looking into a Houston station. Knowing Air America it will happen.

Sonia

4. Get a car receiver!
I'll bet you could find one on ebay for next to nothing. Then you can just bring the receiver with you.

I have Sirius in the car and my husband just bought a home stereo hookup but hasn't hooked it up yet. I hate when I get into something driving home from work and I either have to cut it off or sit in the car until it's over.

My husband also has Sirius in his truck and the same receiver pops into a boombox in his shop. He listens to jazz and NPR, though -- not Air America.
