I have to say, Bart Gordon has done more than any other politician to restore a measure of confidence in the political system. I approached him a couple of weeks ago at a town meeting about meth usage in TN. I asked him and his staffer 3 very specific questions about 3 very separate issues. This week I got an email from him that addressed all 3 issues and his stands on them as well as possible plans of action.

4. Bart sometimes leans a bit to far to the Right

But if enough people contact him on the issues he does listen...Problem here in TN is many think you have to be middle of the road to get elected...we have to show our Democratic Legislatures it's ok to be Democrats...They fear the Christian Right.
