Across the Appalachians, companies are blowing entire mountaintops to smithereens to get at the thin coal seams below. The communities of the region are paying the cost in their health, their culture and their natural heritage—and now, many are fighting back.

The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) presents an evening of film, music and discussion celebrating the power of people coming together to defend their communities and the mountains we love. Featuring the films Deep Down and Coal Country, with special guests Big Kenny Alphin and Kathy Mattea.
