Adelstein considers changing his party affiliation
By Auburn Hutton

. . .

"I started getting a lot of calls from Republicans saying the party has just left us."

. . .

But for Adelstein's name to appear on the ballot, current Democratic candidate Tom Katus has to take a step down, which he says he's willing to do.

"I'm a moderate Democrat, he's a moderate Republican. I'm sick and tired of gridlock in Washington and Pierre. I think the people need focus on issues that are really important to them."

. . .

Adelstein and Katus say they're waiting on poll results to find out which one of them has a better chance of winning against Schwiesow, which will decide their ultimate decisions.
