3. The problem's been fixed, and now we're on a 24 Hour Conservation Notice.

Motor Control System Failure- Sweeney Plant
The Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County is in the process of correcting the internal power problem with their motor control system and is once again able to operate the George R Sweeney Treatment Plant. However, due to the period of time the plant was out of service and in order to build up its reserves the MAWC is instituting a 24 HOUR CONSERVATION NOTICE. All customers in the affected areas are asked to limit their usage over the next 24 hours. This is not a water quality issue. The water is safe for consumption but PLEASE CONTINUE TO CONSERVE. The MAWC is issuing a "24 HOUR CONSERVATION NOTICE" order for all customers in the Northern Communities of:
Allegheny Township, Avonmore Borough, Bell Township, Delmont Borough, East Vandergrift Township, Export Borough, Hyde Park Borough, Loyalhanna Township, Municipality of Murrysville, New Alexandria Borough, Oklahoma Borough, Salem Township, Vandergrift Borough, Washington Township, West Leechburg, Apollo Borough, Gilpin Township, Kiskimineatas Township, Leechburg Borough, North Apollo Borough, Parks Township. This notice affects approximately 35,000 customer accounts.

What a mess to wake up to. See you at the water buffalo, neen! :hi:

5. Yeah. I couldn't sleep last night after the midnight call...
We finally went to sleep at about 3 a.m. Then the phone rings again at 6 a.m. with the news about the water conservation!

I wonder what happened out there. It is not much a comfort to know that all of those Marcellus Shale drills are right next to the reservoir.

4. Yikes! I used to live up there. I think a lot of people still have wells?
Hope it's not a long-term inconvenience for all of you in the northern part of the county. :hi:
