Montco Dems cut into GOP voter lead-10/23/07
By JACOB FENTON
The Intelligencer

Montgomery County has been controlled by Republicans for more than a century, but the GOP's voter lead has continued to shrink over the last year, according to recently released voter registration figures.

Since last October, Democrats added 4,900 voters while Republicans lost 3,600. The result is a county electorate that is 45 percent Republican and 40 percent Democrat.

“It's been a difficult couple of years for the party,” said Montgomery County Republican Chairman Ken Davis.

1. Kerry got 56% of the vote in 04'
He also got 52% of the vote in Bucks, and 57.5% in Delaware. This is one of those areas that is changing from red to blue.
