I won two tix to LOTR in concert at the Rose Garden tomorrow night (Tues, 10/18). They are $50-up/ticket at the box office.

Lord of the Rings in Concert - The Fellowship of the Ring

Location: Rose Garden - Portland, OR

The Lord of the Rings In Concert: The Fellowship of the Ring will make a stop at the Rose Garden on Tuesday, October 18, at 7:30 pm featuring Howard Shore’s complete Academy Award® and Grammy®–winning score performed live on-stage by more than 200 musicians. Peter Jackson’s complete award-winning epic will be projected digitally on an immense 60-foot screen using an uncompressed high definition source with two 20k lumen projectors while the combined forces of the Munich Symphony Orchestra, Pacific Chorale, and Phoenix Boys Choir bring the music of Middle-earth to life.

My original date had to cancel at the last minute, my best friend is sick, and I can't find anyone who both has the interest and ability to go with me.

I hate going to things like this alone, and I really want to go. If I have to, I'll go solo and try and scalp the 2nd ticket. But I'd rather give the ticket to someone who would enjoy the show. (plus it would be a chance to meet a local DU'er)

So if any PDX-area DU'er/Tolkien fan would like to see the show tomorrow night, lemme know.

ps. I won the tickets on Mercury Blogtown with the following Haiku:

The elves are going
Lothlorien weeps for them
Bright leaves fall like rain

(not my best, kinda sappy, but the competition was REALLY bad)

I thought my best was:

Frodo and Samwise
Homoerotic bromance
Sir Ian leads the way.
