Is anybody ready to remove Ken Blackwell from office.
I have never experienced voting lines over an hour in my life, and in many areas they were much longer waits than that. I have also heard this was only a problem in urban areas where Kerry was the favorite. I believe it had a substantial effect on the election.

This does not denote someone who is doing a good job in any case.

1. Remove him how?
I keep getting this visual of peasants with torches and pitchforks.

I am glad I don't live in Ohio.

4. He's constantly on TV
I wonder how his budget can afford all these commercials he puts on, telling us how much he cares about Ohio and its people. He certainly has a lot of face time built up and I just don't trust people that are that ambitious.

Subject: URGENT - NEED ONE OHIO OPTICAL SCAN PLAINTIFF ASAP!!!!!

Hi all:

We need one optical scan plaintiff as soon as
possible.

If you know anyone that voted optical scan (filling in
the bubbles on a
piece of paper - like taking the SAT) please ask them
if they would be
willing to make history.

No financial obligation. The attorney, John Bonifaz,
General Counsel of the
National Voting Rights
Institute, is doing this pro bono.

Please contact me ASAP if you or someone you know
wants to be a plaintiff.

12. Clermont County, New Richmond
I believe there were people who voted with the optical scanner ballots in New Richmond. I don't know anyone who would come forward. But maybe someone else here knows someone in that county who would.

8. What we need to do is
remove the supervision of elections from under the control of a political office and instead have the supervisor of elections be a career civil service position. The person who holds this job should be prohibited by law (similar to the Hatch Act) from participation in any partisan political campaign either for a candidate or an issue. Then we would not be in the position of having our elections supervised by someone who is both the co-chair of the committe to re-elect Bush and also working to pass Ammendment 1. This should never happen! I would feel the same way if this were a Democrat behaving this way. This is not how to run fair elections.

11. Abso-freakin'-lutely!
Or else make it an appointed position, with both a GOP and a Dem approved by the Ohio legislature. I know we'd end up with a conservative Dem, but I'd hope at least most of them wouldn't be toadies to the kind of BS Blackwell rolled around in this year.

And as I've said before, I'd have been as pissed off about the way they treated inner-city voters this year if Kerry had gotten enough votes they couldn't pretend he didn't win Ohio. What happened still was wrong, and would have been wrong even if he'd been the clear winner.

10. Side Benefits of an Ohio Recount
It will allow the Ohio Democratic Party to document in excruciating detail just how poor a job Ken Blackwell did, and just how much of a partisan hack he truly is. It essentially takes him off at the knees in terms of a chance at being governor.

13. Well, according to the freepers...
I was snooping around there and read a few posts...get ready for this...are you sitting down?

They expect him to run for Gov of your great state! Maybe a VP ticket later on!! Gotta love it - the more crooked you are, the higher up the ladder you go.
