It might be worth $40.00 to go to New Philadelphia on 4/18 to
see if you can get in.

6. Focus on outing Valerie Plame
My take is that Fitzgerald let Rove change his story in return for Rove ratting out Libby. Else Rove would be in manacles doing the "frog march" that Joe Wilson was fantasizing about.

7. I can't go
We've had a death in the family; and I don't think it would be a good idea to be seen there tonight. I did my best today to round up a lively group. Hope it's a good showing.
The party has something planned.

8. I caught the end of coverage on Ch 8 Cleveland WJW, a Fox-owned station
They showed the picketers with placards. I wonder if the Pee Dee will have room to squeeze this in between the twenty articles on VT shootings they have been running every day. (Well maybe not twenty, but it filled the national and local sections Wednesday.)

Go see them at 11:59 pm before they morph into sinners at midnight.

12. Much better story in the Zanesville Times Recorder
Todd Hoffman, online communications director for the Ohio Democratic Party, and his crew were kicked out of the event and told to stay off private property, after they tried to get Rove to sign an affidavit admitting wrongdoing in the prosecutor firing scandal.

"We were kicked off the premises and told we would be arrested if we went back in," Hoffman said. 'We just want him to come clean with his actions."
Christian Boswell, a Kent State University-Tuscarawas student, was holding a sign with a quote from Orwell: "In the time of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act."

"We're not really here to be against the Republicans, it's more about how they have handled things," Boswell said, accompanied by Drew Silverthorn and Carrie Campbell, also of New Philadelphia, as they stood behind a yellow strip of police tape. "He (Rove) needs to testify under oath. No more hiding in the closet."

Silverthorn also said he was upset with how "Rove runs the show," calling him the architect of the war and other so-called political mis-steps.
"Clearly, Rep. Space's message of bringing change to Washington is resonating loud and clear and that's got Washington Republicans scared," said Ryan Rudominer, Midwest Regional Press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. "So, they've resorted to bringing President Bush's coverup artist, Karl Rove, to town 18 months before Election Day."

9. From the local paper
http://www.timesreporter.com/index.php?ID=66772&r=0

A handful of protesters gathered outside the center. The small group carried signs, some reading “Please leave” and “Soul Sale: $40 per person.” Todd Huffman, online communication director for the state Democratic party, attempted at the door to have an affidavit presented to Rove asking him to state for the record his involvement, if any, in the recent removal of eight U.S. attorneys, which has sparked an uproar among Democrats and doubts even from Republicans.

The other protesters said Rove represented a culture of spinning the facts and covering up the truth.

“I’m not against Republicans, just this brand,” said Christian Boswell, a New Philadelphia resident who attends Tuscarawas Campus of Kent State University.
