Pryce attack ad on Kilroy
She's accusing Kilroy of running a dishonest campaign - what's the story here? I know that Pryce is likely distorting the record, but what gives? Pryce basically called Kilroy a liar - what's the response? Nothing on her website.

1. because they are scared shitless
Deb is the # 4 repug in the house but doesn't mention that on her web site

http://www.pryce4congress.com/

nor does she mention that she was co-chair of bush/Cheney 04

She has taken money from big oil, HMOs, drug companies,
Jack Abramoff, and other "good people."

She helped raise money for Bob Ney's defense fund

On 1/6/05 she stood on the House floor and told the world
that anybody who questioned the vote in Ohio in 04 was un-American
( all along knowing about Blackwell, HAVA, The Texas Strike Force,
Conyers' report and machines not sent
out to dem voters)

Expect more slime and attacks from Pryce .... a clean vote and she is toast.

2. That's not what I was asking
I wanted to know what the story was behind the allegations. I'm assuming that the allegations are false, but what is Pryce basing them on?

3. When did that charge come out?
I'm guessing last Friday. Give her time to come out with an effective counter ad. It won't be on her website until it is time for the ad buy.

4. dishonest
Many people will be called names during this election but I've notice one big fact that needs to be addressed. Who is who. Other then Blackwell I haven't seen a Republican advertisement that informs the viewer their party affiliation.
We need to remind the disenchanted republicans who is the card carrying member of the so called republican party. The party of Bush and our convicted Governor Taft.
Remind them how the rest of the country laughs at us for electing these crooks and let both parties be proud of Ohio like we used to be.

6. Part of a pattern, it seems.
I a pathetic ad against Sue Morano, a nurse who is running for State Senate, where they deliberately mispronounce her name and charge that she walked out on her patients ("that's just WRONG," they assert, in a blatant attack on the record.

7. To answer your question
As I understand it, Pryce's charge is a reaction to Kilroy's "14" TV ad where she states that, as County Commissioner etc., she balanced "14 budgets." Pryce claims that Kilroy promised, during her campaign for County Commissioner, not to raise taxes. As those in Franklin Cty know, the 2 Dem Commissioners (including Kilroy)raised the sales tax .5% in 2005. Hence, Pryce's claims of Kilroy's dishonesty.

I believe Kilroy's rejoinder (not in a commercial) is to point out that the Commissioners had to increase the sales tax to balance the budget, while Pryce and Booosh just ran up the national debt to pay for their spending.

8. I advise look at Pryce's website for the allegations
There's been developing, I think, a potentially dangerous practice among Democrats, to talk about decreases in percentage levels of spending as "cuts." While, in effect, when you bring inflation and other spiralling costs (e.g., fuel, gas) into "spending equations," the effect is a decrease in commitment, even if not, albeit actual dollars.

Mary Jo Kilroy is very smart, and careful, and she'll figure out a way to convey what she meant.

9. Today on The Al Franken radio show
this race came up. Pryce is in the fight of her life, and actually it was reported two days ago now, I think, that she even admitted that Kilroy is her toughest contender yet. I thought the comment was remarkable, in the context of her allegations against Kilroy for lieing and all of the trash talk on her website.

Go, Mary Jo!

10. Toughest Contender Yet?
Ha!

The chucklehead who ran against Pryce in 2002 AND 2004 raised a total of $0.00 between the two races. The Ohio Democratic Party is just now emerging from its slumber.
