Romero, Wilson Again; King Will Face Pearce
By Andy Lenderman and Rene Romo
Journal Staff Writers

Together, state Sen. Richard Romero and the man he defeated walked into an Albuquerque hotel ballroom arm and arm to the cheers of fellow Democrats.

Unity was the theme of the victory party Tuesday night after Romero handily beat Dr. Miles Nelson to grab the Democratic primary election nomination for the 1st Congressional District.

The rock song "Right Now" by Van Halen played at the La Posada de Albuquerque, as Democrats vowed to work together to defeat Rep. Heather Wilson, R-N.M., in November's general election.

It will be the second race featuring Romero and Wilson.

1. It took Wilson (R-COW) several days after the last election
..to announce her victory over Romero. This time, with all the anti-Bush fever in this area, I think he may defeat her easily.

I want that cow GONE.
