Why not New Jersey?
If New Jersey’s Supreme Court rules in favor of same-sex marriage, might a wave of New York gays and lesbians decide to put down roots in the Garden State?

The New Jersey high court is still deliberating over the marriage cases, with a decision expected any time between now and October. But the general wisdom among insiders is that New Jersey has a better chance of winning marriage than New York ever did.

Which could lead a couple or two to think, Why not New Jersey?

1. Hey, my neighborhood is expensive enough!
We don't need all those gay couples turning New Jersey into some kind of ritzy area.

3. My husband and I are moving to New Jersey in a few weeks.
I'm originally a Jersey Boy, so it's going to be a bit of a homecoming. Watching how progressive New Jersey has become is but one of the many reasons we decided to make the move from Brooklyn to Jersey. Can't wait to be home again, and if the NJSC rules in favor of same-sex marriage, what a homecoming it will be!

4. Watch out Massachusetts liberals!!!
I came across an article on the internet from what looks like a conservative Christian website. It says that New Jersey is threatening Massachusetts reputation' as the most liberal state in the nation. It brings up the gay marriage issue and the high taxes in NJ. Overall, I thought it was an interesting read. NJ must be getting very blue if conservatives are now comparing it to Massachusetts. Pretty soon we will be hearing about the dreaded "Jersey Liberal" label. ;)

6. I had no idea...
that the NJ Supreme Court was ruling on this matter. I would applaud the ruling and give props to the residents of New Jersey for embracing equal rights. The article really points out that gays move to the suburbs when they are ready to settle down with their partners. What a great opportunity to live the American dream.

For those that oppose the issue, I wonder what would be the fear?
