S-NJ DUers: Anyone helping out with the Corzine campaign this weekend?
I have a free weekend and with gas a bit cheaper I was thinking of signing up to help out with the Corzine push for this weekend. I was wondering if any other South NJ DUers are going to be campaigning? I figured I could help out with the Camden/Trenton areas definately! Corzine is looking strong but not taking any chances!

I thought if there were some DUers in South Jersey who were campaigning, maybe I'd help them out!

1. Lynne if you want to I can get info for you, but (without Diebold
serious adjustments) is not an issue. The repub's always tried to make races here an issue, I worked on a really close (State election, it was supposed to be, a trouncing by the repukes, but we won).

If Forrester wins, that would be a recount, worth watching!

If you really need to do this, I will get the info for you!

2. That's silly, I don't really need to do anything

I'm just someone who enjoys doing the campaign door-to-door leaf dropping and was hoping I'd be able to volunteer this weekend of my talents. Even with a nine point lead, I'm sure that the Corzine team will be out full force the weekend before the election in hopes of bringing this race home.

Course if they have the viewing for Rosa Parks in DC, I could very well do the job down in Virginia too.

3. Lynne it wouldn't hurt if you came, here. I wasn't trying to offend,
but if the focker wins (which is really a high repuke hype) then I would feel bad about saying anything.

By the way, did you put the balsamic vinegar and asparagus recipe here, it is awesome!

4. I hope you didn't think I was being cavalier, but it is what it is!
I worked really, really hard on a state senate campaign and it was worth it, this race, really wasn't!

5. You do realize that different races have different meanings to different..
...different people. I find it disrespectful for you to downgrade what someone else feels is important

6. Jeez, I'm sorry, but I was trying to say don't waste your time. I did
not mean to offend, but MY personal time is important to ME. If, I believed there was a problem, I would have sacrificed my time in this race!

I promise, I will not reply to any of your NJ posts, if you want to spend your free time on a race that is not that close, GO FOR IT!

7. You just don't understand it
I would never in a million years tell someone "Don't bother - the race isn't worth it" because to me, ever single fricking race where we have a democrat up against a part of the system republican, that race is important to me - could be dog catcher, mayor or governor of New Jersey. It's all important.

And here's another thing, I've seen Corzine speak several times when he was a senator and I was always impressed by him. So maybe you could care less about Jon Corzine but I can assure you that others feel differently.

See, if you posted on my Delaware board that you wanted to come to DE to help with a Joe Biden race, I would have never treated you as such. Joe wins his race easily each time by 15-20 points. But who am I to question why you'd want to come. Hell, I'd say lets make it an afternoon and I'll campaign with you.

So yes, I'm insulted and sorry to keep at this. But everytime you reply back calling the governor race "unimportant" it's insultive to every democrat who has tried to do all they could even with travelling from their homestate to help out another.

8. Look, I am only replying because I promised not because I think

we are talking past each other.

First of all I am an NJ resident, so, if you think this race wasn't personally important to me, than I don't know what to say.

Secondly, I worked on Wall Street and lived in Manhattan for a year so Corzine's work at GS actually impressed me beyond words. Then his Senate record, always fighting for the little guy and doing what is right awed me.

I have actually, personally spoken to Frank Lautenburg, another NJ wonderful Senator.

What, I was trying to say was that the race was in the bag! Not that it wasn't important. You and I just approach things differently. I have no doubt that we both despise the other party equally, I in fact am sure we DO!

The difference is, my whole life is not focused on getting involved with every Democratic effort (results oriented), if it will have no impact on the outcome, and you just want to be involved (effort oriented). I am okay with that and even told you that I would provide you locations to volunteer with. I don't even know if you looked up before responding.

The difference is I don't make judgments on others because it seems like a left brain/right brain issue. I was born concrete black and white thinker. I have made conscious efforts to become more of a median brain thinker. I collect art now, go to shows, the Opera in Vienna, etc. to become a median brain thinker. This awakening led me to become a Democrat.

The difference between you an me is that I never said that this race was not important, that was the way you understood what I was saying.

If I did contact the Delaware forum, I would say, I would be willing to help if you REALLY need me too, to win this race! Because I have limited resources (time and money), I prioritize to use both in the most effective capacity. There are some things that I won't post, that happened in the last big race here, because it would be abused by some not like minded people!

I don't know if you watch the Philly show Sundays 11:30am on Sunday's the name escapes me now, but here is a post of mine from another forum.

one of the experts said that NJ has been increasingly and continues toward becoming a totally Democratic state. I have the tape, if anyone is interested I will re-watch and report who said what exactly.

They also said, that Forrester's ad with Corzine's ex. went completely over the top and possibly turned 2% of the voters to Corzine. It's about time the Repuke smear game is coming back to haunt them!

Doug, oh Doug, how Repuke of you to not accept personal responsibility and blame others for your failures

I am sorry for the long post, but I am equally offended that you took things way out of the context that I was trying to provide. While I may not have communicated my points in a manner that you would understand (Briggs-Myers or another test I took, only 5% of pop. think like me and I am a graphical presenter of info., I get that I do not communicate well with the verbal or written word).

I NEVER said the race wasn't important, the outcome was was decidedly predictable and that was my point!

9. But my point is why do you have to insult me
I asked if anyone is campaigning and you come in and be insultive like why would anyone bother.

I'm hiding this thread because I'm finding this offensive the more you reply. Couldn't you at least say, well sorry I came off so rude about something that it seemed like you really wantd to do instead of continuously go on about how "It was in the bag" and trivialize the fact that someone wanted to help. That's why I keep replying back because I get pissed more and more about how I was treated when I asked to help - Like some idiot who didn't have a clue what is and isn't important for New Jersey.

10. Jeez, I'm sorry , but I was trying to say don't waste your time. I did
What the FREAKING PART of I AM SORRY did you NOT GET. I did say I was sorry. It's cool, because I said that I WAS SORRY and you in your whatever frame of mind just read right past it.

Good, hide this post because, I have tried since your first post and my subsequent post(which could have been taken wrong) I have said I am sorry. So please do me the favor of hiding this thread, because I tried to correct my mistake and even went out of my way to. I am sorry that I didn't kiss your butt even more than I tried to.

I have always been considered a fair person, but you just wore out my patience.
