What's up this Nelson voting against all the bankrupcty bill amendments?

Does any Nebraskan know why Nelson voted against all the amendments??? Is there a large credit card co. operation there??

1. The problem with Nebraska.

Politicians run on the Democratic ticket in Nebraska, not because they agree with the party platform, but because there is little to no competition to get on the Democratic slate.

In Nebraska, we sometimes have a choice ... between a Republican with an (R) after his name or a Republican with a (D) after his name. Otherwise the race is uncontested.

P.S. I will be writing to my Reps in Washington regarding the bankruptcy bill. It may be an exercise in futility, but it's something better than doing nothing.

Years ago, the opposite was true in NY: Most candidates, whether D's or R's, were extremely liberal. Those were the days.....

Thanks for saying you'll write your reps. Most people seem very uninspired by the bankruptcy issue -- my GD post is dropping like a rock, several people replying that it serves the Bush-voters right for putting the thugs into office! Oh well, so much for that fight.

3. Perhaps we must let them all run amok.

A "Justice for all -- Vote Democrat" slogan will work best in the face of flagrant injustice. The criminals in power may hang themselves.
