Graham considers Senate run
http://www.themaneater.com/article.php?id=21384

In his first term as state senator, Chuck Graham, D-Columbia, might already be considering seeking a promotion — to Congress.

“We’re looking at it,” Graham said. “We haven’t done anything yet, but I’m thinking about it.”

Graham, the assistant minority floor leader, served four terms in the Missouri House before his election to the state Senate in November. Graham, who served the maximum number of terms in the House, said he would not officially announce a bid for Congress until the legislative session ends in June.

1. My only problem is that he's not a recognizable name statewide.
But maybe with a fresh influx of cash from the DNC and the stem cell research lobby, he could be bolstered significantly.

2. He could run well statewide
He's got enough good 'ol boy in him to appeal to rural voters.

3. Does he follow more progressive values
or is he a DINO? I am not as familiar w/ his voting record as I am some of the others.

4. Better than many

He's from Columbia, therefore has better opportunity to be a little more progressive.
Pro-choice, NOT a gun nut, very supportive of poor people, definitely concerned about minority issues and civil rights since he has a disability, Big education supporter. Before running for office he worked on ADA advocacy for MU.
Obama did it (under much easier circumstances), but why not give Chuck a shot?
Draft him. He's a much better candidate than McCaskill!
