Obama looks like a one-term president
I was just looking at the Gallup web site and comparing Obama's approval ratings with those of previous presidents. Based on that, Obama looks like a one-termer. Only one president has managed to survive such low approval ratings at this point in his presidency and that was Truman.

If Obama and the Dems don't take care of the bread and butter issues such as jobs, jobs, jobs and health care, they are going to be out of office. The constant chatter from the White House via social networking media and the usual photo ops and press conferences are not cutting it. Klobuchar has a chattering problem too. Franken on the other hand is demonstrating more and more substance everyday. I am very pleased with Franken.

I just looked at the information again and Bill Clinton was quite low too, although not quite as low as Obama, at this point in his presidency. The comparisons available are very interesting. If you click on presidents' pictures at the following link, you get the comparisons that are so helpful.

2. Naw, impossible to say.
Two years is a political eternity. Hell, looking at that Gallup data, old Dumbya was at Obama's current approval (46%) in May of 2004. I.e., a freaking presidential election year. Don't think I need to remind you how that one turned out, either.

3. "Don't think I need to remind you how that one turned out, either"
You mean that you expect Obama to stay in office by cheating in Ohio?

4. That a president with an approval rating of 46% that close to an election...
was able to win it by cheating is impressive enough.

5. Yeah, but he had an awfully compliant M$M helping him all the way
and if I remember right, a fortuitously-timed video tape from OBL.

(Where would Bush have been without the specter of Emmanuel Bin Goldstein?)

7. Your brothers are sorry that Palin didn't win?
That one statement says a whole lot.

8. Reagan was lower at this point in his first term (42% v. Obama at 46%) ...
... but I agree with you that Obama and the Dems are a disappointment to most of us who are not CEOs, right wing columnists/talk show hosts and those who drink their kool aid.
