DAMN IT ! Protest MN Guards being sent to Iraq:

I shouldn't have to beg people to join us but I am.

Get off work early and join us at the GOV's mansion. Come with your pots and pans to bang.

NOT ONE MORE MN NATIONAL GUARD to DIE in IRAQ !!!!!!!!

http://www.worldwidewamm.org/special/action/021209nationalguard/021209mnnatgrd.pdf

STAND UP and SPEAK OUT!

Rally and Protest: Keep 'em Home! Bring 'em Home!
Thursday, February 12
4:30 PM
Governor's Mansion
1006 Summit Avenue, St. Paul

Join in telling Governor Pawlenty to immediately pursue and exhaust every avenue to stop the February deployment of Minnesota National Guard troops to Iraq and to bring those currently there home without delay...

It is against the law that the Pentagon is using our State Militia in Iraq.

I could just puke with all the fanfare being used to sent 1000 troops to Iraq. It is sickening.

2. Thank you !!!!!! WE must try and stop this madness !!!!

Channel 5 made me sick on their propaganda take on the MN Guard going to Iraq.

They showed how the Guard have a regular paycheck, and shouldn't they be glad they don't worry where their next paycheck will come from.

I wonder how many times Channel 5 has covered the funerals of MN Troops?
how many times have they covered the suicides ?
how many times have they gone over to the VA and shown the families dealing with their brain injuried loved ones ?

5 years ago we marched against this stupid, stupid war and occupation.. and 5 years 4000+ deaths of troops, 1M million Iraqi's, countless divorces, and don't forget the domestic violence of returning troops.

Channel 5 still wants to spin this Occupation into some noble battle.

The MN Guard is NOT fighting for America.. they are fighting for Halliburton, KBR, Lockheed, Shell Oil, etc.

IT HAS TO STOP. CALL your state Rep and tell them to Stop our MN Guard from leaving the state and to bring existing MN guard home now !!!!

So if we don't stop them from going, how many names will be added to this list by the end of 2009

read about them and know that every one leaves grieving family and friends

3. One of my friends is among the 1,000 being shipped out.
He enlisted when he was unemployed and desperate for money, they told him that he could be a cook for the National Guard here at home and they made it sound like he wouldn't have to go overseas. Once he signed the paperwork however he suddenly became a soldier who would be serving on the frontlines. I wish I would have known before he enlisted because I would have tried to talk him out of it, now all I can do is protest and hope that we stop this war and bring all the troops home.
