Preaching to the choir baby ...
Edited on Sun Feb-03-08 11:36 PM by LaStrega
Letter of the Day (from the Star Tribune Opinion page)

Edwards deserved better from the media

The Jan. 30 headline should have read "Edwards brings hope to Minnesota." John Edwards was the only candidate who seemed genuine in his support for issues affecting the middle class -- wages, working conditions and health care. He spoke of conservation in the face of global warming as being more patriotic than supporting war. He didn't take money from lobbyists or corporations. His platform and campaign were not adequately covered by the media. Unfortunately for the American people, Edwards' ideals were squelched by the media, leaving us with less ideal choices for president.

CATHERINE ZIMMER, ST. PAUL

I concur.

1. I was shocked that the Strib printed the letter,
much less made it letter of the day.

It's like the Strib doesn't know it's part of the problem.
