Joe a no-show at Rochester College Legislative Update
Well, Joe Knollenberg's appearance at Rochester College Legislative update was a big disappointment. No Joe. Shawn, one of Joe's staffers read a statement from Joe. Joe's big issues seems to be to keep Congress from raising CAFE mileage standards, even though our mileage standards are the lowest in the world, way belos even China.

In Saturday's Oakland Press Joe has an editorial, http://tinyurl.com/28yyem stating that raising CAFE standards will bankrupt the Big 3, even though the Big 3 is finally getting it. GM at this year's auto show introduced a plug-in electric car. Maybe the news didn't reach Joe.

Joe's gotta go.

1. have you seen
walbergwatch.blogspot.com ?

You should emulate that site. They're dogging his every vote! Also, I hope Nancy Skinner runs again. She came so close this time and she would be great.

2. We have a blog where we're ttracking Joe
votenoonjoe.blogspot.com

He actually voted yes on the last two things passed. I'm not surprised he voted to reduce student loan interest rates, but he also voted yes on the oil/energy bill. I'm sure he's getting scared of '08 and it was a political vote so no one (whether it's Nancy or someone else) could say he voted with the oil companies again. He knew it was going to pass, so it was a vote of expediency. He took away some of our leverage for '08 with that one, I think.
