Why wasn't there an anti-Bush action in Michigan today?
Hell - I'm from Muskegon - I could have brought ten, informed vocal Democratic people to deal with an event like this.

Is the DNC actually retarded? - or are they really just the other side of the coin?

1. Dems are working hard in Michigan
We are canvassing, phone banking, raising funds and organizing volunteers. Demonstrating against Bush is fun and satisfying, but it's really not a priority.

And, besides, if you wanted to go do it, why didn't you? You don't need the party's permission.

2. Organization Sucks....
I have worked at my local campaign headquaters... They have my phone, my e-mail, my other phone and God knows my address....

I have given more in dollars this year than my entire life by a factor of about three...I have contributed to campaigns the nation over, plus several "shadowy" 527's - including a bakesale that raised 2,000 dollars

I had no idea Bush was coming to Muskegon...Why? - that was the point of my post.

WE ARE GOING TO LOSE THIS ELECTION....

6. they keep you so far away (except in Detroit) it isn't worth protesting
unless you have the spare time & it's too close to Nov 2 to put much energy in protesting.
It's more important to register voters!

3. In Battle Creek
From what I hear (he came at a bad time of day for my little ones), there were many hecklers at his stop in Battle Creek. I don't think we're going to lose--I'm seeing too many Kerry stickers here in Kalamazoo and Battle Creek.

Hope is on the way!
