Ad links Granholm and Dems to Hitler
Just wanted to make sure everyone saw this. I posted about it on the General Discussion Board

If you don't feel like reading that thread, here is a Detroit Free Press Article about the ad that compares Granholm, Bill Clinton, Carter, and LBJ to Hitler. The DeVos campaign claims to have nothing to do with the ad, although it obviously doesn't hurt them. A PAC run by Adolph Mongo's stepdaughter paid for the ad. I'll be curious to read more about this tasteless ad.

3. MDP vice chair Tina Abbott slams those behind this ad
The Michigan Democratic Party's Tina Abbott gave the people behind this ad an earful.

http://www.michigandems.com/070606prs.html

"I am shocked and outraged that any group would make such slanderous and offensive attacks on any party. It is despicable and unbelievable that they actually compare Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter and Lyndon Johnson to Adolph Hitler. This is not politics; it is fear mongering and race-baiting of the worst kind. Who is behind the Voice the Vote PAC? They are cowards who do not have the courage to engage in civil debate."

"I call on the leaders of the Republican Party to have the decency to join me in my fight to condemn this ad. Everyone should demand to know who is behind it and help work to find the sponsors of the ad."

"The Democratic Party has been and continues to be the party of inclusion and has helped this country achieve monumental victories within the civil rights movement and continues to work to protect those rights by renewing the Voting Rights Act."

She then goes on to discuss each president's work with civil rights (the Voting rights Act, fighting hate crimes, etc.) and adds:

"To say that these three men did nothing more than offer lip service to the African-American community is not just re-writing history, but is flat-out lying. Voice the Vote should be ashamed of themselves, and consider brushing up on their history."

4. Yeah right. Democrats take African-American voters for granted
Then why did the Republicans work so goddamn hard to ensure that inner city Blacks were undercounted in the census'? The Republicans have effectively denied representation in the U.S. Congress, to African-Americans. YOUR actions speak louder than YOUR words, you stupid assed Republicans.
