Does anyone listen to Jay Severin - if you can stomach him?
Edited on Wed Jan-26-05 05:40 PM by jackster
I can only listen in very short segments because my bp shoots through the roof, but today I heard him say that the only thing wrong with Gonzalez was that he didn't permit REAL torture!

1. You mean Severin agrees with Gonzales' prochoice position, too?
.

2. He makes my skin crawl.
He was shouting last summer that we needed to just "drop a nuke" in the Middle East and get rid of all of them. :grr:

(I came across the channel by accident... heard that, and have never gone back).

3. the guy is totally loathesome
he said last year that he was "getting aroused" whilst watching the bombs drop over Falluja.

Advisory: don't listen to this man unless you need to drive aggressively in traffic.

4. Severin is a Liar and a Fool
...and an elitist and an ass.

My rule is: Change the station once you hear something stupid.

After I lose the dispairingly weak AM signal for AAR on my commute home, I catch about 45 seconds of severin before the stupidity rule brings me out of the world of talk altogether and into...

Rockers... 88.9 WERS Emerson College Radio 40,000 watts of reggae power.

5. that's my scenario -
after AAR dies on 93N around Wilmington (my son works for Clear Channel in Brighton and he tells me they are going to increase the transmission strength soon) I sometimes "surf" over to either Jay or Howie Carr - another RW hypocrite and idiot extraordinaire - and listen until I hear something stupid (means my listenting time is limited to seconds!)

Like the time Severin related that the only way he would agree to "socialized medicine" was to keep people from "dying in a ditch." He does not support people on "socialized medical plans" using the same physicians as he because he only uses the best and doesn't feel his physicians should be seeing those who can't afford them!

I listen to books on CD as well, but right now I'm listening to BushWorld by MDowd and I can only take that in small segments as well!

Someday I'm going to drive my car right smack into one of those mega-SUV's with the "W" bumper stickers !!!!
