2. He gets 2 strikes and he is out.
He and his bloody sock campaigned for shrub.

Gameplan. Next time you are at Fenway and he pitches, turn your back.

Moron!

10. God, I fucking hate
Schilling. Wish the Red Sox would get rid of him. I don't care if he pitched with his foot falling off.

12. As much as I personally don't like him since he pimped for Bush
I can't help but see the majority of these comments as carbon copies of the type of things freepers say whenever any famous person say's something anti-republican or pro-democrat. They're instantly satan. Untalented. Unworthy, unattractive.

I can get mad about him being for Bush, it wasn't particularly surprising, but it was very dissapointing. Particularly since Bush was "re-elected". But him being a Steelers fan is so not worth caring about. He was a fan of them since he was either a kid or atleast for more than a decade I forget which. But it was long before this season.

15. I can't speak for everyone
but I thought Schilling was a jerk long before he supported Bush in that interview. He always seemed to be feuding with someone on the team, and making a public spectacle of it by either yelling at them in front of everyone or yapping to Shaughnessy about everything.

He's a heck of a pitcher, but IMHO he's a complete ass otherwise.

20. He has a right to support whosoever he wants
...but when he is on TV, days before the election, to talk about HIS PITCHING, the SOX, and the SERIES, he should have just STFU about BUSH. If he wanted to be a good citizen, he should have urged everyone to vote, and LEFT IT AT THAT. Instead he urged everyone to vote FOR BUSH. On a morning TV show, in an interview. TACKY.

And not too smart, considering the Sox are the team of mostly blue New England...

13. Let's take a moment and put this in perspective
He helped win the World Series for the RS, but he's just as likely to be traded away in a few years as anyone else, and if he goes to say, the Mariners is he suddenly expected to say he supports the Seahawks?

F that. Let a guy like whatever team he wants to, if he supported the Steelers all his life but just switched to the Pats after moving here there would be DUers ranting and raving about his lack of loyalty and shallow thinking.

14. Perspective this
http://www.gop.com/RNCResearch/Read.aspx?ID=5003

ABC'S CHARLIE GIBSON: "Well, well said, Curt and Shonda. You both have certainly lifelong membership now in the Red Sox nation. It was a great thing to watch, and I think everybody – whether they were great Red Sox fans or not – had to admire what this team did. It was extraordinary, and one of the great stories of sport. And sport always produces such great stories. Curt, Shonda, great to have you with us. Congratulations."

CURT AND SHONDA SCHILLING: "Thank You."

CURT SCHILLING: "And make sure you tell everybody to vote, and vote Bush next week."

21. Fine, root for the Steelers--I don't recall seeing them
...at the Super Bowl this evening. The two best teams in football this year are the Pats and the Eagles. And the Pats rule the roost!
