let it snow let it snow let it snow

the kids are loving it,brings back memories of years gone bye. hot cocoa with a spoon of marshmallow fluff, home made doughnuts friends calling to see if we want to play after the shoveling is done.
my grand kids in Scarborough area will probably make a snow man with their mom and dad today or tomorrow. the oldest who lives in the lewiston area will be plowing driveways.
I'm hoping for the 16" to keep the frost from going to deep, better snowshoeing and snowmobiling.
time to make that cocoa!

1. I was up at 2 or so thismorning and it hadn't started
by 5 we had about an inch and a half, and now at 8 we've got about 3-4 inches. Husband had to take my SUV, couldn't get out with the VW. I'm not looking forward to work tonight.

2. They've already revised down the estimates but
it still looks like we'll get a goodly amount.

Still, I'm always surprised at how tv weathermen get away with having to revise down by about half their snowfall predictions every single time. I almost thinks its a conspiracy on their part to get people all worked up so they watch the news. The amount of snow the weather guy last night was predicting and the amount of snow NOAA was predicting were two very different things.

3. It's funny; I was watching a local channel with the sound off.
There was somebody in heavy winter gear and a frown, broadcasting from downtown. How do they come up with new stuff to say about the same old weather? How do they manage to take themselves seriously? Even without the sound it made me laugh.
