Forty-three cats seized from Rockland home
"The animals were found living in deplorable conditions," a humane society press release stated. "Feces and urine covered and soaked piles of debris and personal belongings throughout the home. Cats were perched on any available flat surface."

Said Tracy Sala, humane society executive director, “Given the living conditions, I was surprised that the majority of the cats are in as good a shape as they are. They are all infested with fleas and ear mites, and some have other medical conditions that need to be addressed. The majority, however, should be fine now that they are receiving proper care.”

The biggest challenges now are to find homes for all the cats and to find money to pay for the spaying and neutering and the mounting veterinary bills for these animals, the press release stated.

“We were overcrowded with cats and in dire need of canned cat food before this happened; now we’ve reached critical levels,” Sala said. “Donations of canned cat food, cat litter and financial assistance would be greatly appreciated.”

2. I was just at the shelter thismorning
dropping off the almost full bag of cat food and rest of cat litter from my kitty, and they had many young kittens with a sign that said "adopt 1 or 2!" Just little babys....cute.
