I've met Mr. Messer though, in '04 I helped out the UFCW people in the "get out the vote" campaign. The local is at the bottom of the hill from my house.

On Saturday, July 15 he'll be at the Dubuque Democratic Headquarters from 2:00 - 3:15 pm for a listening session and I'm trying to think of some good questions to ask. He's also doing a fundraiser dinner at 5pm.

17. About 10 of us had lunch with Senator Feingold

prior to his listening session in Dubuque today. This guy is very impressive. At no time did you get the feeling you were hearing some consultant's or pollster's words, just unfiltered Russ Feingold. What you hear is just plain old progressive common sense.
