New Bruce Braley ad and Rick Dickinson TV and Radio ads

Only notes on Dickinson is that his TV ad looks pasted together, not very professional, and why does he keep slamming lawyers and lobbyists and then take contributions from them - he says he wants to send someone different to Washington, but that's what we already have there - people talking out of both sides of their mouths. (I do like the radio ad though - shows he's a nice guy and good neighbor - that's a good piece).

This is my least favorite of Braley's ads (although not a bad ad, just boring compared to the first two), and hey Bruce - John Kerry called and wants his barn jacket back! :rofl:

1. I thought Dickinson's Ads

were great. They look more professional then Braley's. I
always thought that politics were a little more serious. Not
to make people laugh. I though that Dickinson's got the
message through to a lot of people.Both campaigns put a lot of
energy in to them good job on them both.

It's pretty much the same as his first ad but shot from the right instead of the left (and Rick is now in his Den instead of his Kitchen) :shrug:

4. I saw an ad from Blouin portraying Culver oh-so-cleverly

in b&W. It made him look look like Sidney Greenstreet in The Maltese Falcon. You liberals are so mean to each other!!

5. Hooray for cable Internet!

Up until a few days ago I was stuck in the slow lane which is known as dialup. It was like being in a hurry but walking with a senior citizen.

Anyway, I just saw both candidates' ads, and I was really impressed by Braley's ads.

I have a media degree, so I was more looking at how they were made, and Dickinson's ads looked fairly generic. The message was good enough but not stirring. The thing that bothered me about Dickinson's ads was that he has this condescending smirk while talking. It doesn't come off as confident -- it comes off as condescending. Sorry Rick, it does.

Braley's ads are SHARP. They look VERY professional and pleasing to the eye. The first commercial was also charmingly amusing, and the third commercial was as sharp-looking a political ad as I've ever seen.
