3. Funny Stuff

A friend and I use to go to the ID in Cedar Rapids on Wednesdays and the bartenders there called us the "drunken Democrats" as a joke. I didn't realize there was actually a group that did this.

I have to go out of town this week, so I can't do the 7th. How about Brothers on the Ped Mall at 8:00 on the 14th???

I have no idea what their crowd is like, but looks spacious and they have Sam Adams! One thing about IC, there is no shortage of bars downtown, if we don't like Brothers, there are plenty of alternatives. Sirens looks interesting too. I'm open to other suggestions.

I'll post it on the drinkingliberally website next week, if that sounds good.

I have kids so the after work thing works for me better than an 8:00pm. Once I am home 20 miles from IC I don't usually come back to town.

9. Sirens

Sirens is pretty nice- cool sort of funky deco-style decor. It's a non-smoking bar, if that doesn't bother you. They usually have some live background music ( e.g. piano player), and an appetizer menu. Rambis and I have only been there once, but liked it a lot. :)
