Carling Hotel on LaSalle?

I'm coming back to Chicago at the end of April to do a little more research. I want to stay near the Historical Society, and found the name of this hotel on LaSalle, but they have no website so I'm hoping someone here can help. If it's a fleabag, I can always go back to one of the Days Inns in the area, but I'd like to know before making a ressie.

1. It looks like a fleabag when I have driven past it....

The fact there is so little information available after I Googled makes me really suspicious. Also, I note that you are a woman. Stay at one of the Days Inns in the area. There is one about four blocks north of the Historical Society.

I hope the weather here is better then. High of 30 predicted for tomorrow.....

I was out there the middle of last month when the wind chill was below zero, so I think I'll survive if it's chilly! The warmth of the people I met more than made up for it.
