— The packed room of nearly 200 stood and cheered as Florida’s Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink strode across the floor at the Lake County Democratic Party’s September 23 Claude Pepper Dinner. The statewide elected Democrat is the only woman serving in the Florida cabinet and is seen as a rising political star.
