1. You want to hear weird about DE License Plates
If you have a plate that is 4 digits or less it's worth a shitload of money in this state. These numbers are so precious people will designate who gets the number next in their will. In fact DE had a state lotto to win one of these license plates.

The lower the number, the better - it's freaking bizarro

2. Yeah someone told me
That if you saw a plate with one or two numbers, they were ELITE and probably had assloads of money. Weird! How much money are we talking to get a plate like that?

3. You have a couple thousand dollars?

The rage of low license plate numbers fetches some outrageous tag number sales in the state of Delaware. In 1994 the sale of Delaware tag #9 garnered $182,500 and in 2005 Delaware tag #170 sold for $115,000.2 Some four-digit plates can bring over $10,000 to the prospective seller. Other states where low numbered tags draw such attention include Washington, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Illinois, and the District of Columbia.

4. Illinois?
Lived here all my life, and I've never noticed or thought anything special about low numbered license plates. For however much money (something like 100 bucks) you can get a vanity plate, which is 8 (?) letters or numbers of your choice. The standard license plates have letters and numbers, or all numbers, and you can customize them for a small fee, as long as you have both letters and numbers. I don't know if you have to kiss extra asses in the DMV to get a vanity plate with one number on it or not.

Hahahahah this is such a hilarious conversation... I never imagined I'd be in the Delaware forum. :P

5. But, those are the black and white tags, aren't they? I don't think
the blue and gold ones are necessarily that valuable.
