6. Absolutely. And I predict this will be HolyWarJoe's LAST term...
(I'd suspect Reid and the party insiders may demand that he not run again as their price for not helping Ned until it was too late).

I'm proud of all of you, Connecticut Lamont supporters. You ran a heroic campaign, and this will be the start of good things in the future.

And take comfort in the words of an old Scottish poem:

"I'll lie me down and bleed awhile,
then rise to fight again!"

8. Thursday morning and I'm still crying.
Rationally, I know that Tuesday night was a great night. But I feel devastated.

I live in New London, which Lamont carried by 10%. Pollstanding outside from predawn through the rainy evening, my neighbors brought me coffee, snacks, a raincoat, an umbrella. My husband and I actually moved to New London because we thought there was something special about the people here--and on Tuesday, the people proved us right. That, at least, provides some consolation.

and it really made a difference.

It's too bad the Connecticut Repukes sent that slimeball back to the Senate, but we did our best.
