I'm posting this from downtown SF where I'm working out of theMMOB and Working Assets War Room where we have been getting reports from pollworkers across the country. We have been taking calls all day from across the country and there are problems everywhere, but the situation in Denver is outrageous. Their polls close in 2 1/2 hours at 7PM Mountain time.

Machines have been down, electronic voting lists of registered voters down, running out of paper ballots, long lines of up to 2 hours and people walking away in droves.

We are putting out an urgent call to anyone in Denver who can help out! If you have the time and any resources available to go buy some pizzas or bottled water or powerbars and can pick a voting center and go help the people standing in line at the voting centers and keep their spirits up. Go. Bring food, bring drink, bring your musical instruments. Make a party. Help the time pass and help keep people in line. People already in line when the polls close will be allowed to
vote. Help keep those people from being disenfranchised.

To find a voting center, go to this website:

Also, please report all problems to VoterAction.org at 1-888-SAV-VOTE

UPDATE: Any Denver DUer who can go down to a voting center in Denver, please let me know - I'm even willing to personally "sponsor" your pizzas and water if you can do this! Please PM me ASAP! We have to prevent Voters from being disenfranchised.

1. Been going on for a while now

On a day already rife with computer glitches, long lines, and legal appeals to extend voting in Denver, provisional ballots are now running out at some Denver voting centers.

Westerly Creek, 8800 E. 28th Ave., ran out of provision ballots shortly after noon. Voters who were seeking shorter lines arrived, and quickly the line here grew to more than a hundred people long.

Democratic party leaders are in court this afternoon, seeking a two-hour extension for voting in Denver, due to massive computer problems which have kept many from casting their vote.

Party spokesman Brian Mason said the motion was in response to "the huge problems in Denver this morning."

The need an extension.

2. I know.
That is why the call out to Denver and environs citizens to go to the polls and keep the people waiting in line happy.

Did you read the post?

Voters are leaving the polls in frustration. This is a call out for volunteers to go and lighten their load with pizza, water, music, games for the kids. etc. and to try to keep them in line.

3. I would be there with a case of
bud if it would help, but I'm in Ohio. We went thru that here in 04 and may still in Cyahoga this year. Best of luck and demand the extension.
