How do we oust Arnold S. in 2006?
We have to get rid on him. He's assaulting Shelley in an attempt to get paperless Diebold machines in California.

Arnold will make California the next Florida/Ohio.

2. I think he's slowly but surely doing himself in - by alienating people one
group at a time. He is giving plenty of ammunition to whoever will be opposing him (probably Phil Angelides for the Democrats). If he knows what's good for him he won't run again himself, but instead try to endorse some other Republican candidate, probably that sad sack Bill Jones who keeps trying to unseat Boxer from her Senate seat and keeps losing.

4. I hope you're right, but
Bush gave us plenty of ammunition, too.

I think that a friend of mine put it best:

Arnold condemns the Democrats for being "girly men," when they propose to eliminate the tax breaks for the wealthy, but how "manly" is it to balance the budget on the back of today's children and those yet to be born???

I think we just knock him as harming the state, not helping it; and we hammer incessantly (see, we can learn something from Rove, the evil genius).

5. I hope you're right.. I've heard a number of former supporters begin
to turn on him lately. He's fast becoming a bipartisan "pisser offer".

Too bad at least one of his former sexual assault victims doesn't come forward with a lawsuit.

3. Long-time steroid users have been dropping like flies lately
He used them to become famous, but they will likely do him in well before his time. He already had one heart surgury.

6. Have you seen these sites? They're a good start.

You could start by passing out flyers/cards referring Californians to these sites.

8. Tell anyone in college or about to go that Arnold is decimating higher ed
Tuition is going up, and slots at UCs and CSUs are down.

Every kid in college should know this. Every kid in HIGH SCHOOL should know this. Arnold is screwing them to avoid taxing the rich.

9. Yes, he's doing what Ronald Reagan did to higher education
That'll take care of him, just like we got rid of Reagan back in '74.

10. Not just higher education.
He is gunning for public education in a big way this year.

He is calling for widespread school takeovers and charter conversions.

He's working to eliminate teacher tenure and tie teachers' jobs and salaries to standardized test scores.

He plans to cut more than two billion dollars next year from school funding, and transfer another billion dollars in costs from the state to local school districts. Over the past five years, schools have already been cut and funding has been deferred by more than $9 billion!

He wants to eliminate prop 98's guarantee of minimum funding for K-14 education, and subject us to across-the-board cuts up to twice a year.

He, and the supposed democrat, Jack O'Connell, fully support our current "standards-based education system," in spite of the recent findings that show it hasn't resulted in any improvements.

He has refused to make his appointments to the Quality Education Commission, which is charged, in part, with examining the State’s school funding system to determine its adequacy.

And again, he is threatening to put initiatives on the ballot this year if the legislature does not accept his proposals.

As a California teacher, I'm more than outraged. I'm moving out of state this summer, so I won't be here when all this sh*t hits the fan, but that doesn't keep me from strongly opposing him. Enough damage has been done to the public ed system that educated me. Arnold needs to be defeated in a big way. What California does influences the rest of the nation.
