Is LA Times expose on King/Drew Medical Center woes slanted?
Edited on Mon Dec-06-04 10:56 AM by tedzbear
http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-kdday2dec06,0,5000244.story?coll=la-home-headlines

Seems to me this latest salvo is trying to blame the black employees of King/Drew for fraudulently eating up the operating budget. The Times claims underfunding of the hospital is definitely not the problem.

Anybody with more knowledge of this situation care to respond? Like any expose, the Times could be cherry picking its evidence, and not giving us a complete picture of the problem.

edit: fix link

and it's not fair to other LA public hospitals
to keep dollars from their hospitals to
keep King/Drew doing business the same ole way.

The Times has done the right thing investigating
this story.

4. You can't keep paying doctors for malpractice....
I don't care what color a doctor's skin is....
if that person keeps making deadly errors,
that person needs to be fired.

I usually agree with Maxine Waters but not
this time...this happened on her watch.

3. it will always come down to management...
From the LA Supervisors to hospital admins. What a mess.

I quit reading the Times a while ago.. they've gotten as crappy as most of the other media.
