Charlie Brown DESPERATELY needs YOUR help!
https://www.charliebrownforcongress.org/contribute.php

I just received this email from the Brown Campaign:

A record number of voters turned out for Tuesday's election.

And, after more than 300,000 ballots were cast in CA-04, the race is tied. The current difference stands at less than half of 1% (less than 500 votes).

The race is way too close to call. And there are more than 40,000 vote-by-mail and provisional ballots still to be counted.

Once all the votes are tallied, we are confident that Charlie Brown will be the 4 th District's next Congressman, but we need your help to make sure every vote is counted.

Please Contribute to our Election Protection Fund.

Yesterday, Tom McClintock hired an election attorney and brought in a team of lawyers to "watch" the locations where absentee and provisional ballots are being counted.

With McClintock's massive fundraising list, he has the financial ability to hire as many lawyers as he needs to challenge the votes of thousands of people who faithfully cast their ballots.

We need to combat this, but that takes resources.

Please click here to make a donation to help us fight for every last vote.

McClintock has history with recounts, and was on the short end of a fight with Steve Westly in 2002 after a similar situation, so we know he's going fight.

But rest assured that we will not give up - we will not surrender - we will not rest until we make sure that every single vote is counted.

Please donate right now to ensure a fair process to count the remaining votes.

Many of us have looked forward to this post-election day for such a long time - as a country we are headed in a new direction, with so many new and excited voters participating in the process, we cannot afford to allow new voters to become disenchanted with the system already.

We all remember what happened the last time a right-wing politician started challenging election results. Your additional contribution of $25, $50 or whatever you can afford will go a long way to helping prevent a repeat of history.

Thank you,

Todd Stenhouse
Campaign Manager

P.S. - Please contribute today , and forward this email to friends, neighbors, family and all those interested in maintaining the integrity of our electoral process.

1. He really does.
Still.

In order to ensure that all the votes are counted.

People can have more than one cause at a time, right?

3. Yes there is - this is a few days old...
The counting of votes in the less populated northern counties has been completed and as expected McClintock gained a few votes. However, the good news is, they have started tallying votes in Nevada County today where Charlie won by 15%.

This morning alone we picked up 468 votes in Nevada County (which still has thousands of votes left to tally) and are starting to narrow the gap - which stands now at just 815 votes.

This race is far from finished and it's vital that we have the resources to make sure all the votes are counted and we can send retired Lt. Col. Charlie Brown to Congress.

Please click here to make sure every vote is counted.

Overall, there are still more than 36,000 votes to count in this election , and we believe that Charlie Brown will ultimately emerge as the winner.

But with McClintock's legal team firmly entrenched across Northeastern California, working tirelessly to challenge the validity of hundreds of legally cast ballots , we need the resources to keep fighting to make sure every ballot is counted.

Please click here to make sure every vote is counted.

Again, we can't thank you enough for all of the support and help. The tireless devotion of hundreds and hundreds of volunteers all across the Fourth District is truly inspiring.

We'll be back with another update shortly to keep everyone informed. Thank you all again for your continued support.

Sincerely

Todd Stenhouse

Thanks for asking! :hi:

5. While the ballots get massaged, inspected and recounted...BOTH McClintock and Brown...
are scheduled to attend freshman orientation next week in Washington.

6. Just donated another fifty bucks
because of this line in the latest update from Brown HQ:

Earlier this week, our opponents arrogantly and falsely proclaimed "the fat lady hasn't begun singing yet, but she's on stage and wearing a McClintock button."

As he watches his lead evaporate, McClintock knows this opera is far from over. And that singer has gone backstage to re-accessorize.

Go Brown!
