Need Help Figuring Out Sample Ballot for My Mom
My Mom lives in Garland County/Hot Springs. She told me on the phone yesterday that she got her sample ballot in the mail and is confused about it. I live in CA, so I can't see what she's talking about, unfortunately. She said there were a lot of different ones with various numbers and/or letters and she didn't know which one was supposed to be her ballot. I poked around on the Arkansas SOS website, but couldn't find anything helpful. Can anyone here help me figure out what to tell her? Mom's gonna vote for Obama (and this is a BIG deal for her since she's registered Repub!), so please help me help her cast that vote! Thanks... :)

2. Thanks, but that page didn't really help.
Mom wants to be able to figure out what her actual ballot will look like so she can familiarize herself with it and not make a mistake in the voting booth. She's confused by what she describes as a lot of different ballots in the sample ballot mailing. She can't figure out which one is supposed to be her sample ballot. I was hoping someone here might have gotten a similar mailing and could help me figure out what to tell her.

5. OK, I did find this:
http://www.votenaturally.org/voting_machines_ar_optical...

Although you might have already looked at this, also. Garland County voters will be able to use either optical scan or touch screen. I know it doesn't show the exact ballot, but the videos are very helpful as far as explaining step-by-step how to cast your vote. They might be a starting place to up her comfort level.

I'm still trying to find a copy of the GC ballot so I can be more helpful. If all else fails, I will meet her somewhere, buy her a cup of coffee, and help her out. I'll do anything to help an Obama voter!
