1. That PA poll is a very pleasant surprise

I hope it reflects a trend.

BTW, http://www.electoral-vote.com has an Iowa poll through Oct. 4 by the University of Minnesota with Kerry up 1. I think that state is about even, not surprising considering Gore won it by a very narrow margin in 2000.

2. But on the ground in Iowa it seems so clear that

Kerry will win. I hang with republicans (no, seriously) that will vote rep down the ticket with Kerry at the top. I just don't see where Bush or Nader picked up a single vote here. Dems have picked up so many. Plus, we are out collecting absentee ballots again by at least 3 to 1 and it may end up 6 to 1 again.

I think we should uproot that state and drop it in next to Kentucky, because that's where it really belongs.

I've always said that, if it's close, whichever candidate wins 2 out of 3 among FL, OH, and PA will be president. And the Good Guy is up in them all now.
