More beautiful words...I have never heard...
"The effect of the first presidential debate is starting to kick in. Kerry is surging and Bush is dropping. Kerry has retaken the lead in all-important Ohio by 49% to 48%"

8. Well, I guess that means my local NPR station
can finally stop whoring that last ARG (I think -- may have been Gallup) poll that still had Shrub ahead by four or five points. At least they had the decency, when they read it Monday evening, to say, 'this poll did not reflect any possible effect on the candidates from last Thursday's debate.' At that, it was barely outside the margin of error, so I had high hopes the debate would help Kerry.

Not sure the Veep debate will hurt them, either -- at worst it has no effect, but if I know my Ohioans, some small but fairly significant number of women will very quietly say to themselves, 'hmm -- if I have to look at one of those guys or the other for the next four years ... yeah, I'd rather look at Edwards.'

It's not that far from the truth, unfortunately for our collective intelligence in this state -- fortunately for us, though, at least it could benefit the Dems, this time!
