cheney's attendance record?
With Cheney trying to score points with attacks on Edwards' Senate attendance record, it seems logical to look at Cheney's own record. Between hiding out at "an undisclosed location" and running around the country giving political speeches, my bet is that the VP hasn't spent a heck of a lot of time presiding over the Senate while its in session. You would think that there would be a way to check this. Anyone have any ideas.

1. VPs never are in the Senate unless a tied needs breaking
But Edwards thoroughly thumped Cheney by bringing up quite a few embaressing votes from Cheney's record, to which he had little or no response.

2. which undercuts cheney even further
since he tried to convey the impression that, as the presiding officer of the Senate, he was up there more than Edwards.

4. Cheney stated that he's in attendance virtually every Tuesday
NPR reported that while that is true, he's only attending a GOP lunch and does not meet with Democrats.
