Living in the Dark Ages
On a previous post I suggested calling a Kerry Presidency "The Renaissance." After just reading about the freepers screaming foul because Kerry took notes - I am more certain that we are indeed living in the 21st century's equivalence of the Dark Ages.

Bush and Company need to keep the American electorate ignorant and in the dark. Bush has made it well known that he doesn't read the newspapers (he looks at the TV screen instead). We all know Bush's religious objections to science. This administration has operated in secrecy and benefitted from the blind faith of the sheeple.

We need a return to reason. We need a rebirth. If we truly wish to leave no children behind in the educational system, we must set the example by sending someone to the White House who is well-read, articulate, and who values the importance of an education. We need someone who knows the value of science, and who is intelligent enough to separate fact from fiction.

We need a Renaissance, and I believe a John Kerry presidency will give us just that.

1. Agreed. I'm surprised the repukes haven't cried foul because Kerry can
read & write, and Chimpy apparently can't

strains in this country. If you are a thinking person, you are looked on with suspicion and seen as somewhat "elitist", and not quite a "real American".

I'm convinced that many in this country would happily return to the dark ages, as long as they could bring their creature comforts and security brought about by modern science along with them.

4. argh make it stop
Jeez that animated gif you've got there is so gross, LOL. Are you implying that the flight suit was making Shrub a little over excited? :)

5. I think the stuffed crotch

was the main point that Chimp was trying to make with his flight suit photo-op. He crudely tries to demonstrate his alpha maleness by literally showing off his balls in public. I think these images from a parody site do a brilliant job of illustrating that fact. (The fact that it's probably really a sock is immaterial.)

As far as anti-intellectual goes, what could be more anti-intellectual that a guy who thinks with his balls rather than his brains.

I apologize, but I must continue to torment DU with these images until the moment that Chimp is officially handed his pink slip.:)
