WASHINGTON, Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Democratic Presidential hopeful
Senator John Kerry (D-Massachusetts) has accepted the invitation extended by
BET Founder and CEO Robert Johnson to address African-American voters in a
primetime interview special on the network. The SPEAK NOW SPECIAL with
Senator Kerry, named for BET's non-partisan national voter registration and
political activism campaign, will be televised on Thursday, October 7 at 8
p.m. ET/PT, with an encore telecast on Friday, October 8 at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT
following BET NIGHLTY NEWS. Long-time BET News anchor and talk show host Ed
Gordon will host the half-hour, one-on-one conversation with Senator Kerry.

Mr. Johnson invited both President George W. Bush and Senator Kerry on
September 14 to each have their own prime time opportunity on BET to discuss
issues of relevance to African-American viewers as the November election draws
nearer.To date, only Senator Kerry has accepted the invitation. The Bush
Administration has offered only a response that they are considering BET's
invitation.

exactly what I love seeing. I registered a HELL of a lot of African-Americans today and they are still faithfully Democratic and HATE bush to a person, but they need to see and hear Kerry more. Several of them told me of their love and admiration for Clinton, still.

Unlike the chimp who can't even remember what he is told to. Kerry has a brain and the ability to learn more then one language. I saw on TV where Kerry spoke Spanish and I think it is his ability to talk in other languages that are going to play heavy on both the Black vote that we already have and the Latino vote.
