Newt on Hannity spinning the debate
Edited on Fri Oct-01-04 03:31 PM by underpants
Newt started off saying that Kerry did better than his Newtness has expected. Hannity piped in (almost arguing with Newt) that W's passion was great....Newt agreed.

If you are hiring the best college debater in the world than Kerry should apply. If you are firing a commander in chief, Bush should apply.

Hannity cited polling showing that on the "Who best presented their points?" (Kerry won 60-32%) Newt said the following:

If you want someone who knows what he believes, who is in touch with reality, who will look you in the eye and tell you what he believes -George Bush is your man.

Commercial break.

2. Bush knows what he believes
But those beliefs are completely divorced from reality.

6. In touch with reality?
On what planet?

Honestly, there are people who really truly believe they have been abducted by UFO's and will look you in the eye and tell you it is so. Bush reminds me of someone like that. Forget the facts, just believe me because I said so.

11. BACK ON-with his Kerry montage of Iraq points
This is the second time I have heard this in the last 20 minutes.

The more I hear this the more it does seem that Kerry has been consistent.

Ooop there was the "I voted for it before I voted against it"

Newt doesn't want to get to close to Hannity's excerpts
"If it were for any other office than the Presidency that would be very funny"

then he said
"If you read what he actually said and think about what he said I think he CONDEMNED his own candidacy"

17. Newt-Kerry's WHOLE career has been anti-military....
pro UN and denegrating Americas allies.

Now blaming Lehrer for not bringing up Kerry's Senate career. Hannity thinks that maybe W should have brought that up Newt says that either one could have brought it up.

Now comparing Kerry to McGovern.

Interview is over.

Just because Hannity is a right wing shrunken head, that doesn't mean your network is obligated to provide biased coverage of the Presidential debate. If you cannot manage to show a few shreds of journalistic integrity, you'll only continue to drive away independent minded viewers such as myself.

15. Hannity is like a sad deluded pit bull
running to Newt for a pat on the head and validation of his feelings. Newt's a douche but he knows whats up, and he knows chimpy's days are numbered.
