Bush's Iraq War Doctrine: It's Hard
Okay Karl, I'm being obtuse. I know you had your guy say IT'S HARD WORK, like you can implant that excuse into the public's mind. But he said it 17 times and it sounded like, well to use an unattractive right wing term, WHINING.

Here's your boy Bush from the debate:

In Iraq, no doubt about it, it's tough. It's hard work. It's incredibly hard

Of course, we're doing everything we can to protect America… There's a lot of really good people working hard to do so. It's hard work. (This more generally on terrorism.)

It's -- and it's hard work. I understand how hard it is. I get the casualty reports every day. I see on the TV screens how hard it is…

The plan says we'll train Iraqi soldiers so they can do the hard work…

We're making progress. It is hard work. It is hard work to go from a tyranny to a democracy. It's hard work to go from a place where people get their hands cut off, or executed, to a place where people are free…

You know, my hardest -- the hardest part of the job is to know that I committed the troops in harm's way…

I think about Missy Johnson… Her husband, P.J., got killed… You know, it's hard work to try to love her as best as I can, knowing full well that the decision I made caused her loved one to be in harm's way.

It's hard work. Everybody knows it's hard work because there's a determined enemy that's trying to defeat us.
I understand how hard it is to commit troops.

end

Does this sound like a plan? It’s hard work, or in other words, “Don’t blame me. Don’t expect me to be accountable. Just close your eyes and hope things work out. Actually, Bush seems to be betting America’s farm on the hope that the Iraqi people will spontaneously generate democracy. The American people better hope they want it hard enough. If it catches on there, maybe we can try it at home.

4. Exactly--he's pleading for understanding of his f-ups, past and future
When the goals are missed and our men our dead, that will be his response. "Hard stuff!" Well, maybe we should actually consider competence when it comes to presidents? Or intelligence? Or willingness to work? Or ability to make a self sacrifice for the nation?

7. Before the debate
my husband asked me what stupid thing I thought Chimp would say.

I said, "It's hard work". So he kept a running tally with pen & paper. He counted 15, but I thought he may have missed one or two!!!!!

Whaaaat does Chimp know about hard work??

9. I would have guessed "strong" would still be the theme
As in, "I don't have a clue, but I'm a STRONG leader."

Using Word I went back and found he used the word "hard" (or hardest) 19 times.

10. Just get your mind out of the gutter
Now the Clinton penis, now there's a member! It spans administrations and can cause entire civilizations to fall. THAT you can talk about. But don't talk about bush's dick. It's not nice.
