Kerry turned the boat around and pulled us out of the water.
That's how I feel today.

2. The boat was already going in the right direction!
With all due respect to your negative pre debate view, Kerry just hit the throttle and we're going faster.

5. It's just a metaphor..
for how I was feeling yesterday vs. today.

Next week maybe Bush will take the boat to shore under enemy fire and bring Bush down with his bare hands. ;)

3. He was AMAZING -- two things I was especially awed by...
1. His vocal tone and overall demeanor were superb. I was thinking that the media had set a tightrope he couldn't possibly walk without falling over one way or the other -- being 'weak' or being 'mean.' He was calm, confident, respectful, decisive, using terms like "regrettably" before a sharp criticism...

2. That green-yellow-red thing. It worked in Kerry's FAVOR because he handled it so beautifully! As soon as it went red, he had a sentence of closure ready and wound up his statement. Chimp, on the other hand, was interminable and it felt like that red light couldn't come on soon enough!!!

6. First goodnight 's sleep I've had in a long time
That is when I finally wound down enough to go to sleep. And the first time in a long time that I woke up in a very good mood! Thank you President Kerry! :yourock:
