They live in Virginia and have NEVER voted Dem in their LIVES!!!! He convinced my mother in law to vote for Kerry too.

He was going to vote Badnarik because he's been unhappy with bush with regard to Iraq. Father in law was in Vietnam.

Father in law is a HUGE Rush Limbaugh fan.

But he called tonight and said he's been reading Pat Buchanan and this debate CONVINCED HIM KERRY WOULD BE STRONGER IN FOREIGN POLICY!!!

HE specifically was impressed by Kerry on North Korea.

Damn guys. Just damn. BUSH IS SO OVER. He is SO OVER if he has lost people like them. SERIOUSLY.

22. I think there's going to be a lot of line-crossing this election

and the pollsters and pundits aren't picking up on it. I just voted for Kerry as the winner of the debate on websites for TV stations and newspapers in Tampa and Orlando, and they're showing three or four to one in favor of Kerry on the debate. The military and their families are mad as hell at this administration, and for good reason: it started a war that didn't need to happen, disregarding career military advisers and even benching them or running them out of town to further an extremist political agenda. So if the Republicans can't count on the military's vote, they're finished.

That is, unless they can make a whole lot of voters billionaires fast.

I mean this is amazing, incredible. Pigs are flying, hell has frozen over. My father in law describes himself as a "reactionary." Or has in the past.

He served three tours of duty in Vietnam (Army) and has the same medals as Kerry: three Purple Hearts, Bronze Star, Silver Star. He told Mr. Moonbeam a few weeks ago that the Swift Boat stuff REALLY bothered him on a visceral level and he thought it was wrong of them to try to smear Kerry's service.

He told my husband tonight Kerry said EXACTLY what he needed to hear to be able to vote for him.

DAYUM!!!!!! I still can't get over this.

apparently just wrote a book called "Where the Right Went Wrong" Now don't get me wrong, Buchanan does NOT endorse Kerry in the book! But he has been VERY critical of the war in Iraq. So has my father in law. So he read that book, got disgusted by the Swift Boat guys, watched the debate tonight and ended up coming down on Kerry's side, soundly.
