Brace yourselves people....

Here's comes a big prediction....

Kerry will kick ass in tonight's debate! But even if he doesn't or if the media pulls a "Gore" on us again, fret not! I suspect the same people worrying are the ones paying too much attention to polls, but in case it needs noting AGAIN, we are going to kick ass in November, one way or another. Why do I say this? Voter turn out promises to be heavily in our favor this time around. They can't keep up with new voter registration in urban (read: Democrat) areas, while rural regions (read: Republican) aren't noticing much bounce at all. Why? BECAUSE WE ARE NOT ALONE IN WANTING TO KICK BUSH OUT! There are literally millions of new voters, as well as formerly disillusioned voters that are going to participate for the first time in years because they hate Bush just as much as we do. This is not a trend that can be viewed in polls because pollsters are relying on already registered voters, or worse, people they THINK are likely to vote. This misses quite a few of our brothers-in-arms.

So don't go moping if Kerry doesn't do as well as you'd hoped. We're still gonna kick ass. (Not that this is time to be complacent, we still need to push GOTV efforts.)

3. Kerry will do well and we will win
just think about how pissed we are here on DU. Don't some negative or pessimistic DUers realize that are thousands and thousands out there just like us? Many have already decided either way, but at least 10% have not. If they have not decided, then they are thinkers - not followers. :toast:

7. Kerry is one of those lucky creatures who thrive under pressure...
I envy him that, and I thank him for that quality in this ugly contest.

He will not only do fine, he will be standing tall (make that taller)when it's over.

9. Fantastic point
I think most people are merely prepared for negative media spin, and too many here have their panties in a bunch over polling numbers.
